Once the details have been entered and the SUBMIT button has been pressed Nextgen will show the Video Event page with “Requested” “Requested” as the Video Status.
The Video Status moves through various stages , the second stage is that the video is on the device. The Camera Event Details will update to show the updated status and who was alerted about the camera event.
until its ready to be downloaded/viewed (available).
Camera status
Requested - Once a request for footage has been made, the Video Event page will display “Requested” as the Video Status. If the vehicle is offline, the status will continue to state “Requested”, and will queue waiting for the device to come online.
On the device - means that the footage is available on the device but not available in NextGen (yet). It will be made available shortly.
Available - Once the video has been retrieved from the camera to our server, the status will change to available "Available" and you can view/download the footage.
Unavailable - The video is not available on the device, to which could be caused by multiple reasons (ie. Camera offline and not connected, SD card failure, video request time not possible etc)
Failed - It means that video was available on device, but we failed to download it due to some internal server issues. Please let us know if this occurs to investigate.
