What are the parameters that create an incident/event? | There are two alarms that trigger an event:
|
How do I view footage from an incident? | Please click this link, which shows you how incidents can be viewed. |
What do the different event Types refer to in the Camera Event Report? |
|
I am unable to view an incident. | Camera permissions are set by your company's NextGen Administrator. Please contact them for more information. |
Also, its important that the camera is allocated to the vehicle, before the event occurs. If it isn't, the video file will not know what vehicle had the event, and it wont show in reports. | |
Who has access to the footage? | Footage of incidents are stored on the device, and can be requested via NextGen by staff with Admin permission. |
The camera is not working or the camera lens/footage is not right - how do I get it fixed? | Please contact NextGenSupport@TeletracNavman.com detailing the vehicle and issue. |
Is the camera always on? | The camera is always on when the vehicle's ignition is on. If the ignition is turned off, the camera will continue to stay on for a further 10 seconds. |
As a driver, will this allow admin staff to spy on me? | Admin staff are only able to view events generated either through harsh driving behavior, the easy driver reach button is pressed, or if the button on the side of the camera is triggered. |
Is a microphone included in the cabin? | Yes. |
Is there just one camera on the front of the vehicle, or are there multiple angles? | The camera points forward and records video footage of the road and surroundings. Some vehicles may have a secondary camera facing inside the cab. |
Can a driver access/replay footage directly from the vehicle? | No, the footage can only be accessed by staff that have admin permission to view in NextGen. |
An incident has occurred, what happens next? | Admin staff will be notified via Alerts; alternatively, the incident can be viewed in Reports. |
For how long is footage stored (eg can I look up footage from 6 months ago)? | When an event has been generated (via a button press or harsh event), the event is sent to NextGen. NextGen will download from the manufacturer server and subsequently upload to our storage and be held for 13 months. |
What size is the SD card being used? | There are two SD card sizes:
|
Will I be able to view footage if the vehicle was out of comms range at the time of the incident? | Once a vehicle comes back into communication range, a NextGen user can request an incident that happened in that time frame. |
If an incident occurs, how long before and after the incident can I view footage? | There is a 6-10 minute delay from when the incident occurs, to when NextGen is able to access the video subject to minimum 4G cellular coverage allowing for the transmission of data. |
The time stamp reported in the video is incorrect? | Please contact NextGenSupport@TeletracNavman.com detailing the vehicle and issue for the correct GMT offset to be applied. |
